Bloc is a temporary display object created in collaboration with Heiko Bauer and Markus Feulner to present a book publication. Made from recycled aluminium offset printing plates left over from the printing process, the object gives discarded materials a second life. Its compact, geometric form creates the impression of a solid metal block, while hand-drawn illustrations add a personal and playful touch. By presenting the book directly on the object, Bloc connects the publication with its own production process, turning what would otherwise be waste into an integral part of the presentation.
